Envie Autonomie: a digital ecosystem from collection to resale
TCM supports Envie Autonomie in building a digital ecosystem covering the network's entire operational process
Envie Autonomie, a pioneering circular economy network
Why did Envie Autonomie call on TCM?
A network founded in the 1980s and a pioneer of work integration through economic activity, Envie Autonomie takes part in local initiatives such as the “Je Donne Mon Électroménager” (I donate my household appliances) operation launched by the Lyon Metropolitan Area. The initial need was to overcome the structural limitations of existing tools (in particular the inability to export data or use them on the move) by creating a mobile interface with AppSheet, and by developing a smooth API integration with the platform of partner EcoSystem and the LOMACO system.
Two challenges, human and technical
Supporting teams through change
Managing the human factor by reducing resistance to change, to prevent operational teams from rejecting the tool.
Protecting sensitive data
Ensuring complete isolation and protection of sensitive data (production sheets, pricing, donor information).
An end-to-end digital ecosystem
From collection to resale
A complete digital ecosystem orchestrating a front end backed by buffer databases (Google Sheets) and an asynchronous synchronisation engine (Google Apps Script).
Equipment management
Mobile tool for managing hardware equipment.
API synchronisation
Two-way API synchronisation module (EcoSystem/LOMACO).
QR codes and labels
QR code scanning system and logistics label generation.
Donation certificates
Document merge engine for the automated creation of donation certificates.

Your questions about digitalising the circular economy
What you need to know before digitalising a solidarity-based collection and resale process, with the example of the platform developed for Envie Autonomie.
By covering the whole journey, from equipment collection to resale, in a single tool. This is the digital ecosystem TCM built for Envie Autonomie.
By setting up two-way synchronisation, to exchange information continuously with the network’s partners, with no re-entry. This is the module TCM developed for Envie Autonomie.
TCM (The Coding Machine), a custom software development agency based in Paris, has been supporting Envie Autonomie, a work integration network, since 2023 in digitalising its collection and resale process, in PHP, Symfony, Vue.js and Nuxt.
