Solu'Zinc: modernising and securing a custom business ERP
TCM took over and modernised Smart Work Shop, Solu'Zinc's custom ERP, to secure its operation and support the company's growth.
Solu'Zinc, a fast-growing metalwork company
Why did Solu'Zinc call on TCM?
Solu’Zinc, a company specialising in metalwork, first relied on several SaaS solutions before having a custom ERP developed by an independent contractor. With growing needs and availability that had become insufficient for its ambitions, the company was looking for a partner able to take over the project, ensure its continuity and absorb the required development workload.
TheCodingMachine therefore supported Solu’Zinc in taking over, securing and evolving its existing technical ecosystem.
Three challenges in taking over and modernising the existing system
Taking over an existing tool without interruption
Taking over an ERP developed by a third-party contractor who had become insufficiently available, without interrupting its operation.
Integrating several technologies
Making different technologies coexist within the same application ecosystem.
Absorbing business growth
Optimising and modernising the application to support Solu'Zinc's development.
An audit, a rebuild, a Cloud migration
From audit to Cloud migration
We carried out a complete audit of Smart Work Shop, the custom ERP developed for Solu’Zinc to manage its production and ordering activities.
This audit made it possible to define priority enhancements and plan development using a structured methodology. We then supported Solu’Zinc in rebuilding and optimising its core application, including the planning, ordering and purchasing modules.
Finally, an infrastructure audit was carried out to prepare the migration to a Cloud service and secure the future growth of the technical ecosystem.
Audit of the existing system
Business tool audit
Modernised application
Rebuild of the core application, with its planning, ordering and purchasing modules.
Cloud migration
Restructuring of the information system with a move to the Cloud
The project's technologies
Team members who worked on it
